Paris taxi or shuttle for 5 people w/ a fair amount of luggage

There will be 5 of us; what would be the most economical for us, a taxi or a shuttle? Any recommendations?

I know that taxis do not take as a rule five persons but most likely a shuttle fare for 5 would be a lot unless you negociate with them. I think you have to look for a taxi company that has vans or larger cars.

I don't believe you can fit 5 people in a taxi. I took a minivan taxi back to CDG in June and even though there were seats for 5, there was absolutely no way to fit the luggage of 5 people.

Another possibility would be two taxis.

We used taxis for 5 several times in June and July (but not in Paris). Just ask the dispatcher or concierge how many are in your party and they will order the appropriate size vehicle (SUVs in our case).

Hi elaine,

I suggest either www.parishuttle.com or www.beeshuttle.com.

They both run 8 passenger vans.

My family of 5 just spent a week in Paris and we used Airport Connection. We needed to be picked up and returned to train stations (we were on a 3 country trip and Paris was in the middle) so we arranged for a private van with driver from them. They met us in the train station and then picked us up a week later at our hotel. Very nice vehicles and courteous, english-speaking drivers. My suggestion is to e-mail them about rates and then compare the quote to what is listed on the website. The website indicated that we should have paid 76 Euros roundtrip but we paid 60.80 Euros. The link to their site is:
