Plane change at Schipol Airport in Amsterdam -- 1 hour, 10 minutes should be more than adequate for catching a connecting flight?

Plane change at Schipol Airport in Amsterdam -- 1 hour, 10 minutes should be more than adequate for catching a connecting flight?
Hello Everyone,
I'm flying into Schipol Airport in Amsterdam on Northwest Airlines and will be catching a KLM CityHopper flight to Glasgow that leaves 70 minutes after I land.
I would think that should be more than adequate in terms of time to make the connection?
Please advise.

I'm in the same position. In 5 weeks I fly Seattle to Düsseldorf with a 1 hour layer in Copenhagen between. Everyone says it'll work out and I've actually seen folks post around the internet who've taken similar flights and made it. I hope they're right ;- ) I intend to make it known to flight attendants by asking questions about exactly what I must do toward the end of the flight so they'll know about my mad dash to the next plane. Don't know if that will help.

You should be fine. I had about an hour and 10 minutes on a Madrid to Detroit connection in June and made it with no trouble. Schiphol is fairly large but easily navigable. Customs processing tends to be very speedy there.

Plus, Northwest and KLM function as one airline, so they use all the same gates at Schiphol. They even announce flights as "KLM and Northwest are pleased to announce the arrival of flight ...."

Here's a little story you might find helpful.
A few months ago, I had a long-haul flight into Schiphol with a UK connection. It was late taking off. So from 30 minutes from take off to landing (about 13 hours) I was glancing at my watch and the screen thing every ten minutes.
The plane landed later than it departed. The only way round Schiphol really is walking, and the arrival gate was about half to 3/4 a mile from the departure gate (UK flights are in a different wing from long-haul). So we ran. Or rather I ran, and Mrs F went at a steady pace, convinced it was unnecessary.
I arrived at the gate 10 mins before takeoff. To find the flight was cancelled and the operator was delighted to move me to any other operator (or destination) I wanted (Shiphol-UK flights are about as frequent as tube trains).
So what was the point of 13 hours of self-induced ruined sleep?
The worst that can happen is your flight's late, you miss it, and KLM put you on the next flight to Edinburgh if you can't face the 2 hr wait for the next Glasgow flight. There's nothing you can do to avoid this.But there's a reasonable choice of restaurants, a meditation area - and even a mini Rijksmuseum - to keep you occupied. And the extra-mature Gouda in the deli is the best hard cheese anywhere.
So relax. Drink your fill of the Durch beer on the flight across(because the miserable bastards at KLM don't do booze on intra-European flights any more). Ogle the hostesses (or stewards). Worrying about the connection will only make your cardiologist rich.

If your luggage is checked all the way through and you are a transit passenger making the 2nd plane [assuming the first is on time] will be easy. Even if you have to go through customs you'll be fine.
BTW in Edinburgh international luggage comes into an area just off of normal baggage area and declaring anything seems to be a matter of honor -- or should I say honour

In May I am flying from LAX to Cincinnatti then on to London. My layover in Cincinnati is only 55 minutes. Going from one Delta plane to another one. Do you think this will work out? I am worried. Thanks. Not my choice. Frequent flyer miles used
