Please help: Florence on Sunday. What to do?!

Hi, I'm planning my itinerary for Italy on my trip on October and I'm worried that I will spend 2 days on Florence and one is Sunday.
Can anybody help me if the tourist sights will be open on Sunday?
Any suggestion on what to see or to do there there on Sunday?
Thanks a lot!

The museums should be open. Usually they are closed on Monday, not Sunday.

Worried?? Many of the most important "tourist sites" in Florence are churches.

I agree completely that some of the most interesting art and architecture in Florence is to be found in churches, but you should be aware that they do not allow visits during morning services on Sunday. Most of them remain open after the services until around 12:30 or 1:00 p.m. and reopen again in the afternoon between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m.
