Roma to Napoli train

We are looking at taking the ES Italia AV train from Rome to Naples in April. When trying to book the train it requests that we select a coach and seat.
How do you know which coach/seat is where on the train and is it a requirement to actually select or can you just book the ticket and fix it up at the station?

Thanks in advance

This option allows you to request a seat near someone else who is already booked on the train. It is not relevant otherwise. Just leave it blank and it will reserve your seat(s) anywhere on the train (in the appropriate class, etc). On trains, exact coach and seat numbers are always allocated at the time of booking and will be shown on your ticket.

Hi S,

GH is correct.

Just choose whether you want window or aisle seats and skip the part about specific coach and seat.

If you are booking the AV train, be sure to select the DueperUno (2 for 1) under choose your rate. Two people can travel for 43E 1st cl or 33E 2nd cl.
