Rome & Venice

I'm a wine drinker so that's what I think about when words like cafes, refreshment, dinner, etc come to mind. My soon-to-be travel partners usually prefer to drink beer - so is beer as frequently found in taverns, cafes, restaurants, pizzerias in Rome and Venice as I hope wine is?

Hello Travelnut, yes Italians drink beer. My son-in-law who was born and raised in Rome and who now lives in N. CA. where I do still drinks his favorite Italian beer which is Peroni "Nastro Azzurro". Your friends will not have a problem ordering beer. Have a fun trip!!
