Read comments on tripadvisor. FRom what I can tell, people like the itself, but the location could be bettr. Not near any main sites (including the vatican), and a train ride to the historic center area (where many of the sites are).

I stayed there a few years ago. It is about a 10-15 minute walk ......ummmmm... north (if I remember correctly) of the Vatican. You will need a map to make it. A taxi from the hotel to sites in the historic district would run you about 10 € or so (depending on the taxi, traffic, route he decides to take, if there are Sunday or night surcharges, etc.) The Vatican Museum entrance is the closest entrance. If trying to get to the St. Peter's Piazza, you will need to walk around the outside wall (going east and south) for about another half mile (I think).
The hotel itself is new (like maybe 4 or 5 years old now) and is well appointed. We thought it was a very good hotel.
It is in a mostly residential area (i.e. apartment buildings), with a small piazzale near by with some cafes (which are, for the most part, closed on Sunday's). You could certainly do worse than this place. If the deal is truly great, and staying in a more central location is not important to you, go for it.
