Russian tour Company

I usually travel on my own. But, I would like to take an organized trip to St. Pete and Moscow. Anyone used a good tour company that they can recommend?

My husband and I are planning a trip to Russia in September. The tour company is Gate 1. It is called "14 day Russia & the Baltic."
I wonder if anyone on this forum has used Gate 1? They also go to Nivgorod, Tallin, Riga, Vilnius and Warsaw, from 2529. air included. They provide 12 breakfast and 11 dinners with the tour.

Do you mean a tour guide to show you around St. Petersburg and Moscow or a total package (choose your flight, hotel, etc.) type of deal???

I mean---the tour company provides overseas flight , hotels, and most food and stays with us everywhere we go. We are in our early seventies and still travelling, but want an organized tour.

Have a look at going on one of the river cruises that travels between Moscow and St Petersburg, an easy and comfortable way to travel in Russia. Find one that is longer and spends more days in St Petersburg and Moscow. Bus tours are not a recommended way of trtavel in Russia.

A good bet would be one of the Elderhostels in Russia or a river cruise with Grand Circle Tours, which has a nice Russian itinerary. There's also one that includes Scandinavia, if that interests you.

You can find the company at GCT.com.

I've been looking at a 16 day Trafalger tour that spends a week in Russia & a week in the baltics in Sept. from US$3060 incl. airfare & 24 meals. It's similar to the tour that "guest" mentions but with an extra day in St. Pete & Moscow. I've never taken Trafalger before so I can't vouch for them just yet.
