I would stay in San Gimignano - we always stay at the hotel Leon Bianco in the main Piazza- it is old with lots of character and windows looking out onto the piazza - it is truly gorgeous - in fact we are going to stay there again in a few weeks - no matter where you stay, it will be magic - have a great time
