Any decent guide book should have one. Not to plug a particular publisher, but try the "Eyewitness" series by DK. Their Stockholm guide has a fairly detailed city map included. In addition, there are plenty of online versions such as the one found in the above link.

I usually pick up the ones that the information booths in the main train stations hand out. They are very detailed and in those cities I found they were given out by people who were more than willing to help you out. Places to stay usually have them as well.

I just came back from those three cities. Little booklets containing excellent maps and other info were available at hotels and tourist offices. I also found my guide books (Rough Guide and Lonely Planet) had excellent maps. Your local Barnes & Noble probably has these maps too.

www.mapeasy.com has a map of Stockholm that we liked. You can also find them at large bookstores. We got a good map od Stockholm at the local map store.
