How easy or expensive is it to ship cases of wine home.

Depending on the country, you may have difficulty shipping wine back to the U.S. When we visited Australia, Mrs. MileKing purchased 12 or so bottles of a wine she really liked, only to learn that it was illegal to ship the wine back to the states. We ended up packing most of it in our carry-on bags.

It's difficult. You pretty much need to have an importer's license or have the wine shipped by someone who has one.

Well, I guess my question was answered.
I live in NH, USA. What I wanted to do is visit a winery and if I find a wine I like then buy a case or two and ship it back. But I guess that's not going to happen.

You may be able to do it but I don't know what NH's law about it would be. When we were in Italy in October, we had a case of wine shipped home to us in Wisconsin. The wine shop labeled it as olive oil.

But that shouldn't stop you from putting a few bottles in your suitcase or even adding a case to your checked luggage.
