Short Layover in Frankfort
We have a 6 hour layover in Frankfort and wanted to know if we could have breakfast in Frankfort since we get in at 5:30 a.m. for a 6 hour layover before continuing to Prague.
Are there any nice places to see and perhaps have breakfast before we have to board our flight to Prague?
Any help is appreciated.

Depends what you call nice
the center of Frankfurt is a mass of concrete and skyscrapers - the Romerplatz is a re-created old town square as it was before being turned to rubble in WWII
i'd suggest taking a train from the airport to nearby Mainz, a smaller city on the Rhine.

We had a 5 hour layover in Frankfurt last November. We opted to stay at the airport as we didn't want to risk missing our next flight. The airport itself has many restaurants where you could have breakfast, sit, relax, read and not worry about exiting the airport, meeting a morning rush hour and returning to slow security checks.

Mainz is on an S-bahn line from the airport--I think it is the S-8. There are quite a few threads on this forum describing Mainz and things to do there. The Romanesque cathedral and Altstadt area are walkable from the train station
I enjoyed an overnight stay there a few years ago before catching a flight from Frankfurt.
