Still trying to get bus from Selcuk to Bodrum

My husband and I have created our Greece to Turkey Itinerary for late June, early July. Two nights in Athens (if we can get through strikes), air to Istanbul and then onto Izmir, probably train to Selcuk but we know there are back-up ways (bus and taxi). Will tour Ephesus from Selcuk. Then will travel onwards to Bodrum to join up with biking tour, end in Gocek, fly to Istanbul for 4/5 days, return to Athens and home.

Air-done. Hotels--done. I am sort of stuck, though, in Selcuk.

We need to leave early a.m. in Selcuk and make our way to Bodrum before sunset, and I KNOW there are buses to Bodrum. I just don't seem to be able to take care of it. I had hoped the internet links would become more operable the closer we got to the date, but the bus company links still don't seem to work. I know that local agents don't like to book buses. If anyone has had any success in tackling the bus routes recently, please let me know.

Thank you, thank you for any help.

I'm not sure if there are direct buses from Selcuk to Bodrum, but there might be.

If you take a dolmus to Soke, you can take Metrobus to Bodrum that runs about once an hour until midnight. Costs 15L.

From Turkey Travel Planner:
The Pamukkale Turizm bus company operates Bodrum—Çeşme buses that stop in Selçuk. The trip between Bodrum and Selçuk takes 3 hours; between Selçuk and Çeşme 2-1/4 hours.

Otherwise, to travel between Bodrum and Selçuk, take a minibus between Selçuk and the nearby town of Söke (SUR-keh), then a bus to Bodrum; or a minibus to İzmir, then a bus to Bodrum.

Stop by the bus station in Selcuk the day you get there and ask about a bus to Bodrum. The different bus companies will give you a different answer and prices; just ask around until you like the price/schedule then buy a ticket.

I don't know about direct, mowmow, but I sure know that I can get there by bus. I'm getting frustrated by the various bus websites whose English links only work so far, and I need to chill.

Thanks for helping me through this. I guess I'll just have to leave this to chance, since everything else is very much taken care of, and as my husband always says mid-trip when I am going crazy somewhere because my planning wasn't "perfect"(belt-and-suspenders upbringing), "Uh, can we solve this with money?"

And I'll be darned, there's rarely been a time where that's not been possible.

I hate it when he's right.

Thank you, mowmow.

As mowmow says, there are buses every hour from Söke to Bodrum with Pamukkale Turizm - http://www.pamukkale.com.tr/index.html
And even more frequent minibuses from Selçuk to Söke.

The bus station in Selçuk is very central, so no problem making enquiries when you're there.

Croesus--I know that bus link well (heck, I know all the bus links by now)and I know for sure there are frequent buses, but even though their website SAYS I can book/reserve, it doesn't work. (Imagine me stamping my foot like Rumplestiltskin here).

So again, I am forcing myself to leave this to chance.

Croesus....thank you very much for posting the official link of Pamukkale bus company, after extensive searching for Turkish bus companies, this is the only link and website that finally worked with English translation and search function too(well, I have to click Iletism). I got my timetable for my Turgetreis/Soke/Selcuk roundtrip for next week, that's more than enough for me....woohooo!!!
