Strasbourg from Frankfurt Airport possible? Or strictly from FF Main?

Strasbourg from Frankfurt Airport possible? Or strictly from FF Main?
The closest airport to Strasbourg is Frankfurt, right? From the FF/Main Bahnhof, it takes about 2 hours to get to Strasbourg. But how much time it will take if my husband and I hop on the train at the airport? Or should we get to the FF/Main Bahnhof first? Or simply fly into Paris? But from Paris it takes about 4 hours.

Strasbourg is the Seat of the European Council. There is a modern international airport that's only 15 minutes drive from the city center! Now, that is definitely closer than a an airport in a German city, such as Frankfurt.

Your post is very confusing. Where exactly are you flying in to, Frankfurt? If so, Strasbourg is a simple jaunt, Paris would be longer. Have you consulted train schedules and intermeshed everything to see what is smartest? I don't think anyone on this board has quite the smarts on that but would be glad to help. Suggest you find online train schedules and work out what works best for you. Happy travels.

Oh, just learned that there's an airport in Strasbourg!
Anyway, we're going to fly into Frankfurt airport. We would like to know if it's possible to take the train from the FF airport to Strasbourg, wihtout having to get to FF/Main Bahnhof first. Would appreciate your inputs.

Yes, you can take a train directly from the airport station; the routing will be either through Mannheim (with a change) or Karlsruhe (with a change) and sometimes through Basel. It all depends on the time of day you arrive and which train you take.
