Sweden-Poland ferry; booking Poland train tickets

Hello,

Can any of you help me with two questions related to an upcoming trip to Poland:

1) Do you know where/how I can book the ferry trip between Sweden and Poland?
I've been to the Stena Line's (ferry operator) website, with no success. Is there any way to book online or in the US, or should I wait til I get to Sweden (and who should I contact once there)?

2) Similarly, how can I book a train trip from Gdynia/Gdansk to Krakow online or in the US? Will Orbis (which has an office in NY) book it?

Thank you for your help.

jeff

Thanks for your note, Jim. I had seen that website but noticed you couldn't buy tickets on it. Nonetheless, I did send them an inquiry by e-mail about how to purchase tickets here in the US.

Thanks for your reply.

jeff

Well, back to square one on the ferry tickets. I tried to send an e-mail to the Polferries contact e-mail address and it came back as rejected (e-mail address no good).

Any other suggestions on the train or ferry would be appreciated.

jeff

How about just buying the tickets once you there? There are between 5-10 ferries running daily between the countries, I can't see them being sold-out on all the runs. Also you might want to consider flying on LOT Polish Airlines from Gdansk to Krakow or maybe even from Stockholm, lot quicker and not that much more expensive. If you still want to do the train, again you could just buy a ticket at the station. Usually 1st class is always available especially on express trains, as they are more expensive. So just relax!!!
