For theatres, walk over the bridge for a bus to the West End/Covent Garden/ Theatreland, or bus up towards Waterloo and cross the Jubilee Bridge walkways up to Strand: it'll take you about 20 minutes in all.

Thanks all. I'm keeping an eye out for another comparable apartment, but may go with this one, even though maybe not the most convenient. Really appreciate all the help on details!
