That ANNOYING Nissan Murano Pop-up ad

Yes, this is OT, but I just hate those annoying pop-up ads that cover the url link you're trying to access.

It took me a good 30 seconds to figure out how to make the Nissan ad go away so that I could click on Europe travel talk.

I don't know if you feel as I do, but when one of those ads gets in my way, I specifically avoid the product as a matter of principle.

Now, how long until the eds remove this thread and/or sanction me ?

I agree it's annoying, but Fodors needs advertising to keep this site free for all of us. A necessary evil, unfortunately.

I don't really understand what you are talking about as I've never gotten a popup ad on Fodors. I usually go directly to Europe forums as http://www.fodors.com/forums/postreply.jsp?fid=1
or sometimes US or even the Forums homepage www.fodors.com/forums
and I don't recall ever getting a popup ad because I hate them also.

I've seen some ads on here, including a picture of that car(I remember thinking it was an odd thing to be advertising on here), but they weren't popup ads and didn't obstruct any feature. I don't have any special anti-popup software installed, either. I do hate popup ads and know what they are (they are on NYTimes, for example), but I've never gotten one on here.

I want one of those cars. But, they are $30,000. I'll keep my Altima and travel instead.
