Tickets to British Museum China Exhibit?

HELP!

I screwed up and flat out forgot to order tickets to the China Terracotta Warriors exbibit for my upcoming stay.

Does anyone know of a reseller I might try for tickets the week between Christmas and New Years!

Thanks!

The museum releases 500 tickets every morning. Queue early and you'll probably get tix.

Soldouteventtickets.com has them at £22 each which isn't that bad.

Thanks!

I am planning on trying the early queue, but was just hoping for some other method.

The website above actually seems to only have tickets for sometime in January, you can request other days which I have, we will see if I get a notice they have any.

If you check on the British Museum website, there is lots of info on getting the tickets they release daily. They say people are queueing before the museum opens and some people in line may not get tickets. It's amazingly popular! We hope to go next year and will try and book well ahead.

We stood in line for tickets in October. We arrived at 9:15 and waited an hour and forty-five minutes for an admission time of 1:15. The guards were telling people some way behind us that they probably wouldn't get tickets, but lots of them did.

A guard told us that people start lining up at 8:00 every day but that it is not necessary. I don't know if it might be more difficult to get in during the holidays.

We were disappointed that there were so many people actually in the exhibit at one time. It was quite crowded, to the point that it was difficult to see well. They tell you that there is no set way to go through and to go further on in, but the crowds were everywhere.

I showed up by chance around 10am. The queue was quite long but there were attendants telling us how long we would have to wait. As it was, I waited less than an hour and had a wide choice of entry times. I went in at 2.30 (lunch first) and was quite surprised at the volume of people. Also that they all obediently lined up and went round the exhibit in single file! I hopped about here and there and saw everything but not necessarily in the order I was supposed to!
Just do your own thing and don't hang with the crowd and you'll be fine.

Just an FYI.

I managed to buy tickets for 12/26. The Museum is opening the exhibit ONLY for Boxing Day and as of a few hours ago there were tickets availalbe.

This was not ideal as we are arriving that day, but.... after reading in the WSJ yesterday that people were now lining up at FIVE AM I decided to bite the bullet!

Thanks for your help!
