Transportation from Malpensa to Stresa
Can someone help me with the train situation to Stresa from Malpensa? It looks like I can buy a ticket online, but I don't have a printer. Can I link it to my smartphone or print it at the station? I'm trying to become familiar with the Rail Europe site and I believe from Malpensa we take a bus to Busto Arsizio prior to getting the Regional Train.

It is simpler just to take the airport bus from Malpensa to Stresa. It picks you up right outside the terminals and takes 50 minutes. If you go to the airport website, you can find the information. You can buy a ticket from the bus driver.

This is the website for the bus from MXP to Stresa, etc.:
www.safduemila.com
It has all the info you need, plus schedules.

I'm several weeks late in posting this, but I think our experience with Alibus to Stresa is worth reporting.
We arrived at MXP from ATL by way of JFK the morning of Sunday, Oct.4 with our printed Alibus reservation confirmation in hand.
The confirmation reads "Your reservation is OK 11:40, Terminal 1, exit door 2, bus stop 5/6"
We followed the instructions. 1140 came and went, with no sign of Alibus, although many other buses did. Unfortunately none of them were going to Stresa.
After checking with the information desk in the terminal, and receiving no answer to phone calls, the information desk said we would have to take a train the Stresa.
Okay...but the train to Stresa doesn't leave from the Maalpensa station. It leaves from a little town several miles away. And to get to this town we must take the bus.
The bus arrived and we boarded to find that we were the only passengers. I, in my jet-lagged state, couldn't stop laughing as we (who thought we had every detail taken care of) took our private tour of the beautiful countryside.
We eventually found the right train, and arrived in Stresa (which we loved, as we did our hotel room overlooking beautiful Lake Maggiore).
The best-laid plans of mice and men...
