URGENT!! trenitalia train tickets reservation

I am trying to book train tickets on the trenitalia website but the message
"The requested train is not reservable for chosen date" is being displayed for my trips.. is It because my travelling dates are 28th,30th of June and 2nd of July or is it co am choosing the ES* train?

I am only getting 5% discount for the ticketless, so do I advice that I forget about the website and buy my train tickts rom the train station?

Frankly, if you are going to be in Italy a day or two before traveling and you aren't trying to travel over some major holiday, yes.

You will be OK to buy the tickets while you are in Italy. You can buy from one train station all your tickets (not important the destinations and departure place), for any day.

I sued trenitalia site only to make a list of trains timetable for all the destinations I wanted. Then I selected the trains I wanted (based on the time that was OK for us), made a list and then I went to railway station - train ticket office with this list and I bought all the tickets.

There are trains from Milan to Venice every hour or two. Chances are you can buy tickets for the next train when you get to Milano Centrale from the airport. And if not the next train, then the one after that.

In any case, buying a ticket for a train that you might not make because of delays at the airport or in traffic just involves you in more hassle to exchange the ticket.

I've just asked www.trenitalia.com for Milan-Venice around 12:00 on 28 June and it works fine. Can't see any problem.

22 euro Amica fare available on the train I checked...
