Venice apartments

Hello,

I'm planning on having a trip with 3 of my friends to Venice in late May this year and I started looking for accommodations.
I found some very interesting offers in a link that was recommended by another user: www.veniceapartments.org
To tell you the truth they sound to me like to good to be true,so I wanted to ask you if anyone used this renting service and if it is for real.I've seen that they have a kind of strange booking policy,to pay 100% in advance through bank transfer.I'm afraid that when we get there, there will be no one to be found and we will loose our money and wil have no place to stay.
Please,if you have any knowledge of the authenticity of this renting service or you can recommend me something else in a similar price range (aprox. 300-350 euro for 3 nights/4 people) leave me a reply.

Thank you!

We are in Venice right now. Staying here: http://www.vrbo.com/149494. I am writing at the table that shows in the photo. So this place is real!

Check out the dates. They might work for you, and the apartment sleeps four comfortably. Owner lives in New York, and we have found him good to deal with. Also Serena, his Venetian local rep, is good.

Thank you for your replies.
@ Peter_S_Aus : unfortunatelly the apartment Peter recommended, which by the way looks absolutly fabulous,is booked in the period we have out flights.
@ Roblm : I've sent them an email about the availability of the rooms in out traveling period in Venice and I'm waiting for their answer.
@ travelgipsy : there are some nice rooms on that site, but they only rent for a minimum of 5 nights.we are only staying for 3 nights in Venice.

if any other solutions come in mind, please feel free to share

peter_S..., I presume that the building does not have a lift..?
Are the building stairs steeps or are lower bad back friendly?

The apartment is great, I love being able to sit outsite while I drink my coffee or enjoying a good glass of wine. It would be perfect for us,I travel with my daughter.

kismet, yes, there is no lift But the stairs are OK - probably wider than the stairs inside a house, with proper landings and handrails, not perticularly steep. We hauled our luggage up without trouble.

Thanks Peter.. One more question..

Does the noise from the bar below is bearable at night?

Once when I was in Rome our apartment was on the second floor on top of a busy restaurant..

Every night at two AM we were serenaded by a tipsy customer that kept singing the same song over and over..Volaree.....

veniceapartments.org is a fine agency, they have been around for a long time and they are legit. The fact that they have a lot of apartments and they rent for 3 days is a definite bonus. It is a busy time in Venice... so don't delay, book something soon.

Kis, the owner has rearranged the rooms so that the main bedroom is at the quiet side of the apartment. We have had no problems sleeping.

Thank you all for your replies,

We found a very nice apartment for rent in the Cannaregio region, using veniceapartments.org. Apparently they had other booking options, not just the 100% advance payment by bank transfer (they also have the option of paying 100% in cash on arrival and even 30% in advance and 70% on arrival with Western Union money transfer). So all is good, our flights and accommodation are booked and know we just have to get there

Hope you all have beautiful trips and wonderful experiences in your coming travels!

P.S thank you very much for the recommendation rialtogrl
