vienna to bratislava...worth it???
I will have 4 days in Vienna and was wondering if a day trip to Bratislava would be worth it. If you have been there can you tell me some places I should visit. Thanks so much!

Whether a side-trip to Bratislava is worth it depends on whether you've seen all you want to see in Vienna.
If you're Vienna-ed out in a couple of days, then by all means, go to Bratislava. In my opinion, there aren't any major tourist attractions (like the Eiffel Tower, Colloseum, etc.)...B'lava is more of an "experience." What's cool about B'lava is that it's a low-key capital city that doesn't get a lot of tourists (compared to, say, Prague)...I think it would make a nice day trip. There is a castle in Bratislava if you're into that sort of thing, but it's not all that exciting.
I've traveled Vienna-Bratislava several times, mostly on trains but a couple times on bus. It was an easy trip, around an hour or so. It's been 10 years since I've done this, but I don't think too much has changed.

Its also possible to do a daytrip to Budapest from Vienna, via either train or high-speed river ferry. If you are not making a seperate visit to Budapest as part of your trip, I think the city has far more to offer than Bratislava.

I would not recommend a Vienna - Budapest day trip.
I think it will just frustrate you: 2 3/4 hours each way and you WILL want more than 8-10 hours in Budapest.
Bratislava is okay, IMO, but only if Vienna has palled. Great restaurants, though.
