To add another choice: Hotel Pasitea is located a walk up the hill from the beach (but you can take the little bus up for 1 euro if you don't enjoy the wondeful walk. Don't let the Best Western name make you think it's not a nice hotel, we loved it. Every room had a gorgeous view and a little terrace. It was very reasonably priced thourgh their own web site, then found an even better deal a couple of weeks before departure, as Expedia lowered their rates to about 140 euro, incl taxes. It has an elevator, it's clean and comfortable, and the best and most reasonable restaurant about a block down the road.

This time last year we were staying at Albergo California and we thoroughly enjoyed it! You'll have a wonderful time! Oh what a difference a year makes-last year Positano, this year sitting at my desk wishing I was in Positano!
