vrbo London
Looking at VRBO for a week in London for 2. Would love some guidance as to best area to stay in. Within easy reach of sights, safe neighborhood. Any recommendation for specific apartments would be apppreciated. TIA

London is enormous so no one place is close to more than a handful of sites. But the public transport is so good - it is more important to be near a convenient tube station/bus routes (which are all over the city)

There is no 'best' area. There are 20+ central neighborhoods that are all just about equally 'best'
>> Any recommendation for specific apartments would be appreciated.<<
Budget?
But to get you started, some of the convenient neighborhoods include South Kensington, Victoria, Covent Garden, Russell Square/Bloomsbury/Holborn, parts of Southwark, Sloan Square, Marble Arch, Marylebone, Mayfair/Knightsbridge, Notting Hill . . . and a bunch more.
AND some vrbo/airbnb owners do play fast and loose when describing their location.

Yes, try to get an exact street name or postcode and Google it to see where it is in relation to public transport, and use Streetview to get an idea of what the neighbourhood looks like.

WHAT IS YOUR BUDGET?
Nightly basis in pounds or dollars (US, not Canadian or some Oceanic variety).
And what sights are you thinking of? London did not construct its most notable sites between 75-1000 years ago all in one small area for future tourists.
