I have been in Delft many times in June, including this past June.. The weather was nice each time except one. There was heavy rain and strong wind, so strong that it could blow you down. I am always cold, so I wear a light sweater most days. But most people will be comfortable.

We were also in Delft and other parts of Southern Netherlands this past June and July and I would say the weather was coolish (light sweater needed). Lots of clouds and hardly any sun, sometimes drizzles in the morning, and a few times rain.
I have also been many times in this corner of Europe...Belgium & Netherlands, mostly in the summer, and the weather is often cloudy and cool.

A lot depends on how you define cold and rainy of course.
There is no way of predicting what June next year will be like.
We had 2 cool wet Junes 2007,2008, but this year June was actually warmer drier and sunnier than normal. There were 14 days above 20C and 5 above 25c. The hottest day it was 28C. there was 55mm rain against a norm of 77mm.
Next year could be warm and sunny, it could be another coolish June. No way of predicting.

Without knowing where you are from it's not possible to know what you consider "cold". My beau's niece - a native Floridian who had never been north, was wearing a shirt, sweater and jacket if the temp went below 75. So - if you're used to tropics it might seem chilly.
IMHO it usually doesn;t get very hot, but I would never call June chilly. As for rain - it has rained every time I have been to europe for more than 2 or 3 days (except southern Spain) - just like it does in the US (unless you live in a dessert).
So it could be warmish (75-80) or it could be coolish (60-65) but cold is extremely unlikely.

kraines,
I lived there for a few years. Holland is never "cold" in June. Actually it is rarely cold even in January. The Gulf Stream keeps the Netherlands damp and cool for the whole year. Southerly winds, especially in August, bring up the beach weather.
Dress in layers. It doesn't matter what the weather is. Bring your umbrella or buy one when you get there.

Hi there and thanks for all of the replies. I am from South Carolina and our winters can get pretty cold. Summers are really hot. So I am used to both extremes. I think I will just plan like you all said and take an umbrella. I always do, anyway. But you know, I have been to Europe many times and have never encountered rain! Guess I have been extremely fortunate. Kathy
