What to pack for Greece in June
I leave for Greece in just 36 days. I'm just beside myself with excitement! Last night I pulled out my luggage so I can start getting organized. There's something about pulling out the luggage that elicits all the excitement of travel. Okay, getting to the point, in terms of clothing what is recommended for Greece in June? Will I be good with only bringing short sleeves, crop pants and skirts? Or should I pack along some long sleeves and pants as well? Will a light jacket or sweater be necessary? What about rain, should I bother with an umbrella? I will be there June 7-17 starting in Athens, then onto Nafplio, then to Santorini. Many thanks!

Athens will be warmer, but the islands can cool down and become breezy in the evenings. Several days on Santorini a fog rolled in at sunset lasting until mid morning, and this was late May - early June. Recommend at least one pair long pants and sweater or jacket.

Take one pair of light long trousers and a very light jacket or jumper - but chances are you won't need them. We've had several holidays in various parts of Greece in 2nd half of June and I've experienced temperatures up to 43C. We once arrived in Crete in a thunderstorm in mid June, so a shower is possible - but saying that it cleared up within an hour and we never saw another cloud.
