it was cool...no cold for us in june last year
i wore coat and gloves and a warm hat
the swedes were in tshirts but thats their way
lol
all are sensible in their attire
especially with shoes..none of those russiangirl high heels
jeans and sneakers all round
nothing out of this world striking
scandinavian fashion is different...slightly offcentre but not in the way we expect..more left of quaint but still ...hmm different

I have hit two heat waves when I visited in June, so you do have to check before you go. Most people on the streets, cafes, and tourist attractions were very casual--shorts or skirts, tank tops or less, sandals, etc. except for the businessmen in their suits who I felt very sorry for. Also came a across a large group in formal wear making their way on foot to the City Hall. So as usual, it was function appropriate, but very casual on the leisure side.

Dining is very expensive in Stockholm and I am not a foodie, so I am not the best for restaurant advice.
Last year we were staying at Hotel Acadia, Körsbärsvägen 1 near Odengarten. We ate at least twice at the Restaurant Cypren on the Valhallavägen / Surbrunnsgatan corner. It was very tasty and a good value. Otherwise, we went to grocery stores, etc.
The number one site is the Vasa Museum, hands down. I also enjoy the City Hall, walking the waterfront (there are sometimes evening concerts in the park by the Tourist Information Center with easily accessible ice cream), walking the old town, and taking some sort of boat (lots of choices) to see the views of the city from the water.
After that, I think it depends on your interests--museums, shopping, nature, etc.

If you go to www.streetpeeper.com and click on "Stockholm" in the right hand column of featured cities, you will see what the fashion cognoscenti is wearing.
