What was your recent experience getting the Vaccine Pass upon arrival in France?

If you are in Paris or have just visited, please share your experience in obtaining the Vaccine pass at a pharmacy. Was there a line, how long did you wait, and how was the process? And were there any problems with your documents or your vaccine schedule? Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks!

Following, as I'm needing this, too. But also, trip advisor's French forum is very robust and has a lot of current information.

Excellent Eurohop! I am very interested in what will happen when we depart in May for France. So it's a wee bit early to judge peak US travel to France by Feb/March results. Of course, the warm weather will decrease the fear of covid, but I doubt France will do away with their Passe Sanitaire.
Any links to reactions by Pharmacies would be very helpful, because it's possible they will be overwhelmed by demand.

Easy peasy. Just walked in to the Pharmacie located inside Gare du Nord, showed my (US) vax card, paid the 36€ and I was out of there in about five minutes. I went to Paris last year, late November. All the worrying about getting the PS was for naught.

So your experience was last November?? I think Eurohop is asking about "what's happening" mid-Feb or later. The PS is extinct. Now it's the Vaccine Pass.

The pass sanitaire and the pass vaccinal are really the same thing. The name of it on my telephone changed all by itself without my intervention when i got my booster.

In any case, the government is hoping to eliminate it in April.

Le passe vaccinal remplace le passe sanitaire à partir du 24 janvier 2022.

I think newsletter 1054 from Service Public is quite clear.

We went to France for Christmas markets on our way to Austria and had no problems at all getting an EU pass. Not sure what the rules are now but we arrived mid-December and went to a pharmacy in Colmar, France and paid €39 per person and were given a digital pass that we then downloaded to our wallet on our iPhones. I'm going back to Europe in a few weeks (Spain) and my EU pass will still be valid since I was already boosted when I got it. The pass is good for 9 months. Hope this helps. Enjoy your trip. Europe is beautiful anytime but even more so these last few years when you don't have the usual crowds.

I'm in Paris right now. Went to a Pharmacy in the 16th today around 11am. 36 EUR, in and out in 5 minutes.

One thing to note - you DO need three doses, even if you have J&J.

Question...
I was issued a pass sanitaire in early November -- prior to my booster. Will I be charged 36 Euros to update my pass sanitaire with the 3rd shot information?

Your original pass will show invalid and will no longer be usable until you update it with the booster QR code.

Good news.
Rules requiring people to show a Covid-19 vaccine passport to access venues will be lifted in France on March 14 – about a month before the presidential election - said French Prime Minister Jean Castex, as the country gradually eases Covid health protocols amid signs the virus is receeding in France.

And masks will not be required indoors after March 24 except for public transportation and in nursing homes.

Not sure why everybody seems to want to link this to the presidential election. All of the other surrounding countries have chose similar dates, with or without elections.

So there will be no further need to get a local vaccine card and pay the Euro 36?? We are going in April (18-27). Both have 2 Pfizer doses. I have 1 booster. She has 2. Thanks!!

That’s right. Unless things change. But I doubt they will in April.
