Thanks for the info Guanacaste. The web site travel board had a different feel to it so thought it might be so. It got pretty ugly between the two of them. I saw what he wrote on the web site. Her friends here in Ohio e-mailed me and gave me her side.

For Arenal look at Arenal Springs Resort. Fairly new....duplex type cottages, all with a great view. Lawns and porches with rocking chairs. Two pools, good open air restaurant. They have a website. My daughter lives in Tamarindo and they took us there with their two children about the same ages as yours.

thanks all. No luck with Arenal Paraiso website. It seems to be down for quite a while (been trying for over a week). Also no website for Arenal Springs except via Arenal.net.
I do have possibility at Volcano Lodge. Any thoughts? Or we can bite the bullet and stay at the Kioro as I can get discounted rate. (only 20%). Would the kids enjoy staying here?

What site are you using for AP? It seems to be working - http://www.arenalparaiso.com/english/main.htm but I didn't try to make a reservation. I really enjoyed my stay there, I stayed in a standard which was perfect for me and had an awesome view.
