Best MEXICO guide book
In the bookstore a little while ago, thumbing through Mexico guide books. Comparing coverage of my itinerary destinations (Palenque, Zihuatanejo, Zitacuaro/Angangueo, and Mexico City.)
I quickly determined the Frommers book inadequate for me. But I can't remember which of Fodor's or Lonely Planet I found more comprehensive and better organized...?
This got me thinking: What is the best cross-Mexico guide book? Any of the above? Or Let's Go, Rough Guides, or other?
AND is there a way to bring just the helpful information WITHOUT ripping the pages out...? I like the overall tips, organization, and index of a whole book, but I don't want all the bulk and weight of ALL of Mexico for just three destinations!

ah heck, I can't take credit for the guidebook rebinding idea, it's far from original
My favorite guidebook series is Moon Publication, but I have no idea if they cover the region you are asking about.
