Drive time: Tamarindo to Manuel Antonio
So we know it's going to be a *long* drive from Tamarindo to MA- the travel agent suggested it is about a 10 hour trip, but I was under the impression it was more like 7 or 8 hours. Does anyone have a good estimate? We are going in the beginning of October, if that makes a difference.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I drove from tamarindo to Jaco and it took around 5 hours. From Jaco to MA i believe is another 3 hours. Have you been to CR before? If not be perpared. Driving there can be frustrating and dangerous.

Manuel Antonio is only about an hour beyond Jaco. We drove from MA to Tamarindo in March and it took around 6 hours. It was a Sunday, and the roads were free of big trucks, which made for a quicker drive.

We just drove from Manuel Antonio to Tamarindo last Wednesday. We left Manuel Antonio at about 11:00 a.m. and got to Tamarindo at about 4:30 - 5:00 p.m.. We had a driver who somewhat knew the way and we used the new bridge that connects the Nicoya Peninsula to the mainland, therefore making it unnecesary to use the ferry or go through Liberia. The bridge just opened about 4 weeks ago and our driver had us take a picture of him driving over it! We did'nt make many stops and it was a beautiful drive! Go for it and have fun!
