Good cheap eats in Papagayo Gulf area

We are going to stay at Ocotal Beach Resort, which is nice but expensive. We would like some suggestions about reasonably priced (inexpensive is a better word) restaurants/cafes around the area, Papagayo Peninsula and vicinity. We have a rental car and so can get around. Thanx.

Playa del Coco is your best option, its about 4km north of Ocotal.
Good cheap eats there are Papagayo Soda on the main street opposite Coco Verde Hotel and good bar food at La Dolce Vita bar on the beach:

Ginger is not so cheap, but the food is amazing. You definitely should give it a try some evenings. Kind of like a bocas bar. We ordered about 5 or 6 different things to sample. Each one was about $6. It was a fun meal, and would have cost a lot less if not for the mojitas! They were pretty good as well. . .!!

Jimmy Burger, in Playas del Coco has some mouthwatering cheeseburgers, all their other stuff is pretty good too, they stay pen till very late. The Pina Coladas are excellent at Papagayo restaurant on the beach. I also very much liked the sushi restuarant in Playas de Coco.Hope this helps
