HELP! Cancun/PdC/Cozumel in Oct or Nov?

I am planning my honeymoon and we really want to go to Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Cozumel. We are getting married in the middle of October and would really like to take our honyemoon right afterwards. But we are worried about the weather (hurricane season?) so we can wait until November or even December if need be. When is the best time to go? PS - I am not a big fan of going to places when its peak tourist time because I hate the crowds. We also picked Mexico because we feel you get a lot for your money (and we dont have much money, LOL)

You will have light crowds (compared with high season) and face it - generally better weather than almost anyplace I can think of in the nurthern hempsphere in the Fall. You know there is a very small chance of a big storm that late in the "season," but if worrying about what's coming off the coast of Africa will interfere with enjoying your wedding, by all means wait a couplke weeks or so - it's all about what you can tolerate by way of "chances."

PS - remember Mexico has places NOT in the path of hurricaines, as well -

Kelli, Have a look at the following web site. Click on any year, and then click on the map to make it bigger. You'll see the dates for all the tropical storms and hurricanes in past years along with the paths they took. Maybe this will help you feel more at ease picking a honeymoon location and date. I think you'll see that late October and November are pretty safe.

After Thanksgiving and before Christmas are usually a good time-plus the weather is very nice. My husband & I leave the day after Thanksgiving for 3 weeks down there-1 week in Cozumel-1 week in Playa Del Carmen and 1 week in Cancun. Have a wonderful holiday.
Also I don't know where you live but Alaska Airlines has a $50.00 companion voucher with their credit card. Its kind of like 2 for 1. Chris
