HELP ME PICK! Le Meridian Cancun, Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort Cancun, or

Westin Resort & Spa Cancun, SHeridan Hacienda Del Mar-Cabo san lucas, Westin Resort & Spa los cabos.

My main issue is a private beach. This is our first getaway w/o kids in YEARS & we dont want to be on a strip with hundreds of other people...That being said we also want the 'nicest' resort as well.

ideas?

Contact a travel agent and look into all inclusive, all adult resorts up and down the Yucatan pensilula. We have a fantastic trip planned for April. The prices are very reasonable and most of the excursions are included in the price. They have multiple pools, bars, restaurants, and fitness centers which are all included. They also usually have spas but they are extra. The prices usually include transportation from the Cancun airport. The travel agent was able to get me much better airline prices than I could booking online.

The best Mexican beaches are found in the Yucatan area, no question. Thus, the Mayan Riviera is perhaps your best bet. What time of year are you traveling?

CUN has a beautiful beach, but private is not the word that comes to mind. The Meridien is very nice, as is the JW. If you want to avoid kids absolutely avoid any school break week.

For more privacy, and more lush grounds, head a bit south, to the area north of Playa del Carmen. The new Mandarin Mayakoba is outstanding and very luxe. Less expensive and right next door is the Fairmont Mayakoba, a very big property but great design and nice pools. Have fun.
