Hotel Rio Vista, El Fuerte, Mexico
While browsing through some postings on T/A, I came across a mention of the passing of the Rio Vista's owner, Can anyone confirm that it was Chal who died? If true, I'd be very surprised, because Chal was only around 35-40 years old, back in 2018, when I last saw him. He was/is a very engaging guy, worked hard to make a success of his hotel, which sat high above the rio Fuerte, wonderful views and reasonable rates. If staying with him, he'd be at the train station when you arrived, to take you back to his hotel, then take you back to the train station later. That's good customer service.
