I'm now at Vista del Sol on the 9th floor. WOW what a view!
Unit is on the north facing side of the building so the new(ish) Molino de Aqua monstrosity kills a lot of the vista, but still quite expansive of sky, ocean, sand and definitely sounds of the waves. Nice!!
Dinner at Daiquiri Dicks was lovely last night. Breakfast at Fredy's Tucan this morning. Lunch from Mikey's at Los Mercados picked up yesterday, a green/caesar salad with tuna salad on the side.
Life is good in PV.

thanks for keeping me company though!!!
believe it or not, i actually had to do a little housecleaning today (Sunday) since the apartment move in.
Also had a bit of time at the lovely rooftop pool. nice and breezy today, which is a relief (it's been in the low 90's for days).

Aren't you supposed to be figuring out what it's like to live like an ex-pat? Sounds like a heavenly vacation to me!!

Suze, hope you have a lovely time. In 1999 we really enjoyed staying out at Mismaloya Bay. Had breakfast one morning at the old movie set. I would appreciate any info you can soak up on the rumors about southern Mexico resorts being unsafe--gunfire, poisonous alcohol, bad 7-up, mysterious black-outs etc.
We are booked for La Casa Que Canta in February in Zihuantenejo. DH wants me to cancel.

Home in Seattle again after my glorious one month in PV.
hopingtotravel~ There is nothing like that going on in Puerto Vallarta resorts. Not even in "rumors". There's thankfully nothing to "soak up" for you other than to say none of those alleged incidents you listed were from PV anyway.
sf7307~ that IS the ex-pat life style for many people in Vallarta -ha! Maybe not eating out every single day, but the buildings I stay in, the gym I go to, my morning Zumba classes in the plaza, all have many long stay NOTB residents who choose to fly south for part or all of the year.

Well sure, but i knew that already!
The month was fun but honestly did not feel that different from 1, 2, or 3 week past trips. And I could have easily stayed even longer as far as still enjoying being in Mexico.
Even though I'm very comfortable in Puerto Vallarta, doubt I'd ever move bag and baggage permanently because of life logistics (finances, property, taxes, medical, blah blah). I am pretty sure I'd have no problem doing the 6 month / 6 month (or 3/3/3/3) between PV and Seattle. w/ maybe some Hawaii in the mix.
