Manuel Antonio Park Entrance Fees

If you pay the entrance fee in the morning and then leave to have lunch, do you have to pay again to re enter the park the same day? Also, I've read that long lines form later in the day. Would we have to wait in line to re enter or are the lines just to pay the initial fee?

I'm pretty sure you get your hand stamped or a plastic bracelet to wear. It's been three years since I was there. I don't believe you have to wait in line again to go back into the park.

We left to have lunch and then re-entered. I think we had a receipt or ticket, and before leaving, we checked with the ticket booth at the entrance to be sure we could get back in.

I didn't see any lines at any time we were there, though that doesn't mean there couldn't be any!

Go in the morning if you don't want lines. Bring your bathing suit and a towel if it is a hot day, the water is nice.

You may need a small amount of money to pay the men with the little boats to cross a bit of water in a boat...unless you plan to wade through it and get your shoes and pants all wet! It doesn't cost much, I can't remember...I think we paid in coins.

If there were lines, I am wondering if those were bus tours.

Thanks. As far as the lines go, if there are lines when we want to re enter, do we get to skip them?

I would imagine you would not be able to skip the line as there are only a certain amount of people allowed in at one time. That said, I can't believe it would be necessary anyway, the few times I've been there I've never seen a line, even when a tour bus arrives.

How much is the enternace fee for children? I know it is $7.00 for adults, is it less for kids? Mine will be 8 and 11.

My kids did not pay in December. We were 7 each. They were free and are 8 and 10.

Fathie,
Thanks for the info. I saw your pictures. Very nice. What suggestions do you have for me to do with my kids in MA? I was thinking of doing the dolphin tour and maybe going white water rafting. Did you do any of these. Did you go to Arenal?
