puntarenas ferry

can anyone shed some light on an actual schedule? i have several, but no 2 the same.

Is the car ferry visible/clear signs to direct us? If not, any directions/advice to assist us getting to ferry?...heading to Paquera.

thanks
jill

I just got back, we took the ferry to Paquera last Wednesday. We had a driver so I didn't pay a ton of attention, but here goes- The terminal is at the far end of the spit on the landward side (the right side as you drive out the spit). It seemed pretty easy to spot. The schedule is unclear - we used www.costaricashuttles.com and our diver thought there was a 12:30 and a 2:30 ferry. Turns out the ferry was at 3 PM. When we bought our ticket, it didn't look like there was a 12:30. I think there was also a 7PM ferry but don't hold me to that. Good luck - it is a beautiful trip across the bay!

Jill,
You need to have someone check the ferry schedule for you once you arrive. Are you staying at another hotel first? They will call for you. Also, try looking at www.nicoyapeninsula.com

Check out what that ferry schedule says. It does change fairly often, so a quick check a day or two before is advisable.

Drive as far out on the spit as you can, then turn right.

Have fun!

Also a "Jill"
