I think a rain poncho would be fine. You should have beautiful weather in December. You can pick them up for under $10 at places where they sell sports and fishing tackle.

I guess we've been lucky, but we never pack raingear and have never needed it, although the majority of our time in CR has been right smack in the middle of rainy season.

Like hip said, you really just need one of those cheap little rain ponchos. I think we got ours at REI; they fold up into a small little pouch. We've been grateful that we had it, and it didn't take up much room.

I live in San Jose, but we have a farm in Guanacaste and I travel a lot between places.

Que raro la clima este ano, Verdad?
San Jose has finally gotten some sun for the last 3 days. I bought a hammock to put outside on my terrace. Que rico.....Pura Sol. SeaTurtle, I'll send you the views from my hammock. Also, I got some video and photos of some turtles and gators in the swamps near punta uva I want to show you. I'll be in the office most of this week. Call me whenever. I gotta set up the house with the maid and cook and everything at dave's house for when you come down. we need to set the dates soon.

Yikes Joshua...

I just saw your post tonight!! What was I thinking?? Can we do the spend the night at Dave's after I get back from Monteverde???

I sure hope so as I've made plans to run off in another direction on Dec. 11.

Will your mom still be in CR when I arrive next Sunday???
