Yes, it is possible. I was actually scheduled on Nature Air til they decided they didn't have a plane to pick me up & had Sansa take me instead. Luckily I had anticipated some delay and still had more than enough time to make my flight back to the states (it was the CO flight leaving I think around 1pm). Take the earliest flight out of Quepos & cross your fingers! ![Imported](https://www.fodors.com/community/images/smilies/imported/smiley.gif)

We are going to MA at the end of March. Our return flight on US Airways departs at 3pm on a Friday. We are taking the first SANSA flight at 8am which gets into SJO at 9am. I am hoping this gives us enough buffer in case of problems. Like you, we wanted to spend as much time as possible in MA. Hope this helps.

Great news! Thanks for the responses, and my apologies for the double post - I was a little hyper with my mouse button.
We are on the CO flight at 12:30 (tully, I believe this is likely the flight you mentioned). Planning on taking the first SANSA flight from Quepos to SJO, and we will cross our fingers. Worst case scenario, I would rather miss the flight returning home than the flight beginning our trip.

>>Has anyone flown SANSA from Quepos to SJO in the early morning and then managed to catch an early afternoon flight back to the US? Trying to maximize time in MA.>>
Yes, plan on that, as long as you can get to SJO with a couple hours to spare before your flight.
My last Quepos flight was around 11am to catch a 3:10pm flight home.
If you know your time will be tight, plan on paying for your SJO departure tax ($26) when you arrive at SJO at the beginning of your trip. You can pay while waiting for Customs - put the receipt somewhere safe like inside your passport.
The Sansa terminal is about a three minute walk to the SJO terminal with your luggage -easy. I'm told the Nature Air terminal is a short cab ride away.
Don't forget your 25lb weight limit. If you're overweight plan on 1) paying a modest amount for overweight - 50cents per pound I believe (this will not be possible if the flight is full) 2)arranging for the next flight to bring your luggage (trouble if you have an SJO flight to catch soon) 3) start unpacking and leave items behind! (some choose to do this when they have to)
