Thinking of mexico

Ok; here’s the deal. This is our 20 year wedding anniversary. We don’t have a lot of time probably 4 nights. Have been to GC (with the kids) loved it. Been to a sandals in the Bahamas loved it as well. Been to T & C (with kids) LOOOVED it. This however should be a little different. 1: Would like AL because of time and we do like to get on the beach and kick back with a good drink. 2: Would like it if the room had a hot tub in it or its own plunge pool (Remember 20 years and no kids). 3: We like to snorkel and love to dance (no we do not do the waltz) but does not have to be on the resort. 4: Like nice things and need the time to ourselves. Any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated. OH! June 26th is our date and would be around the time we will go. Thinking about Mexico.

Thanks
snort

Look into the Royal Playa Del Carmen. It is upscale and adults only. It is right down the street from 5th Ave. with all the clubs and restaurants in Playa if you want to go dancing off the resort...just a short walk.

I agree with Schmerl. In town but really nice. On the beach at the north end of town.

You should try looking for anything in the Riviera Maya, just along the beach of Playa del Carmen there are many great hotels and you can always take a cab to Playa. I would recomend you to take a look to Fairmont Mayacoba, La Maroma or Tides (formerly Ikal del Mar) which is an upscale VERY romantic hotel. Or maybe you could take a look to Cancun a bit more turisty but great hotels and great restaurantes.

Check out the new Iberostar Paraiso Grand. It's adults only, butler service, gourmet dining, total pampering.
