Wedding in Sayulita or nearby?
My fiancee and I are planning a destination wedding for approx. 75 guests, and we had heard that renting a bunch of villas in Sayulitas might be a good idea. Any info on having a wedding in Sayulita? If not, got any suggestions on locations in Mexico where our guests can have a vacation with options for activities/relaxation without breaking the bank? Thanks!!

Thanks for responding, Suze. We liked Sayulita for its abundance of affordable villas. We're not really mega-resort people. Can you recommend accommodations/villas in Puerto Vallarta that are more boutique style?

I couldn't tell from the wording of the posts if you have been to Sayulita before? It's a beautiful place and may be perfect for you. My comment was more about logistics of getting 75 people transportation out that way.
Casa Isabela, San Angel, Quinta Maria Cortez are three unique hotels in Puerto Vallarta. I have no idea if they would suit wedding needs or not.
Do you have a wedding planner in Mexico yet? You'll likely want to have someone local to help.

Congratulations, GatorGrlSF!
We rent villas in the PV area every winter and have been to Sayulita twice. I think it would be much easier to be there with 75 guests than in Puerto Vallarta, which is a huge city. Getting to Sayulita is easy (large SUV taxis), and once there, managing your guests town would be no problem.
Villa del Oso, the place we rented last year, would be perfect for a wedding. It has a gorgeous lawn overlooking the ocean and is about a 10 minute walk to town.

Your guests could rent other villas on the beach (there are several multi-house complexes) or they could stay in town. Some of our friends stayed at the the new Petit Hotel d'Hafa - small, chic, and very affordable. It was featured on the cover of Travel & Leisure last year, so get there before it becomes spoiled!
