Where to do zip lines/hanging bridges tour, etc.

Hello- my huband and I are going to Monteverde/Arenal/Manuel Antonio in January for 9 days- we are trying to determine which location is the best place for
*zip lines
*hanging bridges/canopy tours
*canyoning
*rafting
* Night tours- Monteverde v. St Elena- due to limited time- if we do a night tour at one is it worth going back during the day

Thanks.

We booked a canopy tour through our hotel in MA (Si Como No) the company was called Iguana Tours and was excellent. There are like 15 zips, 3 repels, and a nice hike. No hanging bridges. The guys are hilarious and they know their stuff. Al was our tourguide.

We loved the SkyTrek zipline at Arenal. It was long, high, and fast! Another family with us had just come from Monteverde and did SkyTrek's zipline there. They said it was even bigger and better at Monteverde, but they enjoyed Arenal as much as we did.

The hanging bridges in Arenal are a nice walk, but we didn't see any wildlife. The hanging bridges at Rainmaker near Manuel Antonio looked more interesting, but we didn't get there.

We did rafting in Manuel Antonio. Great fun and very safe with Iguana Tours. The river, the Naranjo, was mostly II and III with one section a IV.

I have pics and a review of our adventures at http://www.geocities.com/teacherkab/costarica/main.htm.

Have fun!

I agree that the zipline at Arenal was fabulous. We loved the Pacuare rafting (if you're into more adventuresome rafting). Hurry up and do it because this is suppose to be one of the most exciting rivers to raft and they're going to be flooding it soon. If you click on my name you'll find more details on both of these.

We did hanging bridges (no zip lines) both at Arenal and Rainmaker. They're different enough from each other so that we felt both were worthwhile. Rainmaker is somewhat more interesting (higher, more diversity, etc).

We were interested in doing the Rainmaker Hanging bridges (saw it on the amazing race). We are staying at Costa Verde, where exactly are the bridges. I found a website showing them but no directions. Approximately how far from Costa Verde? Can you go on them alone or do you need to go on a tour? Any info regarding the hanging bridges would be appreciated.
