need suggestion for must visit fall foliage locations
hello
me & my family are coming to japan on october 27 & will be staying till November 4. We are very excited. We will be having a rental car & have night stops at the following perfectures
Tokyo
tochigi
miyagi
aomori
yamagata
nagano
gifu
shizouka
We are all active, leave early at sunrise & return at sunset. we would have around 10:30 hrs every day.
We like outdoors, natural setting & less touristy places. Our main interest is to take in autumn colours. please suggest some must visit places that we can include in the plan. we are ready for a 1-2 hours hike to enjoy the scenary.
Thanks,
Shraman Ghosh

I would first suggest you look at this page. It depends on when you are there and what elevation you are at though - times can vary. You can also try this page from the Japan Travel and Tourism Assn.
Rurubu also has a good listing. You can also see forecasts for places nationwide here. Lastly, you can find a Top 100 collection here.
