Dubai - private guide

Does anybody know of a reliable guide who could take 2 people, who have never visited Dubai before, round the main sites in one day? We would particularly like to visit Al Fahidi, Deira Souqs, Jumeirah Mosque and go to the observation deck at Burj Khalifa.

Also any advice on other "must sees" and places to eat please.

You can book guided (private) tours at the Sheikh Mohamed Centre for Cultural Understanding. https://www.cultures.ae/
The visit to Jumeirah Mosque is very interesting, as is joining a cultural meal.

That being said, you can easily do all this on your own. Just hop in one of the numerous taxis (taxis with a pink roof are exclusively for women but you can safely take any taxi).
Take a walk in Bastakiya, which is the oldest part of Dubai. The souks and Al Fahidi Fort (Dubai Museum) are here, too.
Take an abra (typical boat) to sail on Dubai Creek. https://www.dubai-online.com/transport/abra/

Burj Khalifa: book tickets online far in advance through the official website! You'll have to choose a time slot. Take into consideration that sunset is around 5:30 pm in the winter; 7:00 pm in the summer. https://www.burjkhalifa.ae/en/

Many excellent restaurants all over Dubai. In case you want to venture out a bit, Dubai Marina (abt. 40 km from Dubai airport) is a newer area of Dubai with a nice boardwalk at 'The Beach at JBR' lined with restaurants and bars.

Another lovely spot - especially at night - is Madinat Jumeirah. It has a small souk and various restaurants/hotels. Trattoria Toscana, for instance, has a wonderful terrace looking at the waterfront. Koubba Bar is an excellent place for cocktails. Oh well, too many restaurants with cuisines from all over the world in this nice place. https://www.jumeirah.com/en/hotels-resorts/dubai/madinat-jumeirah/?restaurantAnchor=true

Thanks so much Miriam. Excellent suggestions but I would still like to hear from a private guide who could spend the day with us; drive us around, taking us to the main sighs but also the places coach parties don’t reach.

Sorry, can't help with that.
We love to explore on our own, which is what we always do.

For me Dubai it's easy and no need a private guide. Just plan your trip and you will be ok there
