We will be in Barcelona for 3 nights in late May next year. I need a wheelchair accessible room. I've used Booking.com to get a list to start from, although I will book any room through the hotel direct. My criteria were Eixample (based on several suggestions on this forum), wheelchair accessible, 4 or 5 star, good reviews, and no more than $400 a night. This is the list I got:

Catalonia Passeig de Gràcia 4* Sup
El Avenida Palace

Does anyone have any experience with any of these hotels? Suggestions for better choices, even for a bit more money? Suggestions for additional areas I should consider?

The Avenida Palace is one of the most handy, even arguably the most well located for easy touring, but it's very Old European style (a bit dated), if that matters...not sleek and contemporary like the H10 Metropolitan nearby, which I really like. The Ohla Eixample and the Gallery, both that I know, are further up in the northern section of the Eixample, so requiring more walking.

My vote would be for the H10 Metropolitan for style and location.

Maribel, thank you for your recommendation of the H10 Metropolitan. The hotel was lovely, the staff were incredibly helpful when we arrived late at night with no luggage, and the location was perfect. I hope I get to go back someday! Preferably with my bags, which arrived 3 days later as we were checking out.
