What did you decide now; Mediterranean Turkey or Kurdistan?

We are in a holding pattern for several days. I remembered a former neighbor used to take his family to Turkey nearly every summer to visit his family, so I've reached out to the daughter to get her thoughts on our trip. She's tied up most of this coming week, but I hope to chat with her next weekend. With the input from this and other forums, I feel I can have a halfway intelligent conversation about places she might recommend (thank you everyone!). Either way, it would be the something like the last trip I posted or staying exclusively within Turkey.
