Does anyone have any guess if Hawaii prices will drop in October for travel in January? I have to travel on American and their prices are still high. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I'm flying from the east coast.(Hartford) What would be a good price rt.? Thank you very much for any imput!

I'm also going to Hawaii in January and waiting for fares to drop. I'm flying Hawaiian. They have lots of sales on now, but only for travel between now and Dec. 14. Still hoping for a sale on January flights. I read somewhere that many carriers will offer discounts in late September for January travel, but I haven't seen anything yet. Keep checking Travelocity, etc.

Lowest I've seen on Hawaiian for January from west coast ( Seattle) is 660.16.

Where in Hawaii are you trying to get too. I used to work for AA in reservations. Hawaii is very popular. Everyone and their brother wants to go there and it books up. I would highly suggest you break the fare by purchasing perhaps two tickets(with legal connections so you do not miss your flights). For example BDL to SFO or SJC and then SFO to HNL or SJC to HNL. When you get creative you can almost always get there. Good luck.

I bought my tickets from Pdx to Hnl on Hawaiian back in May for $612, but a friend has decided to join us so I'm still looking for a low fare for her. It's been staying around $630-660 for months.
