Are you having problems with the forum screens because the search and post a new message sections have disappeared?

Fodors says they are working on the problem but it has been about a month. They say they have had alot of mail on the subject. I think it might not be Fodors. I know it is not the browser because Fodors Talk is ok on IE at work but not at home. If you are having the same problem please respond with the following information so we can try to find a pattern: Country, State, work or home, internet conncection, any recent changes to your system. My information:

US, Georgia, home, Comcast Cable, got converted from Adelphia to Comcast

Thanks. As a Fodor's junkie I am about to go into withdrawal! I need my search !!

"I know it is not the browser because Fodors Talk is ok on IE at work but not at home. "

Couldl be different versions of IE; I know that some web sites look OK on my home computer that has a newer version of IE, but not OK on the older version, especially fancy animation and shopping sites.

I'm on Comcast cable in Massachusetts and Fodor's looks fine to me; the layout for search and post looks the same as always.

Thanks. I mainly use Firefox at home and that doesn't work either. The screen looks like about 2 inches is overlapped. I can see about half of the name of the forum. The overlap is about 1/2 inch less on IE than Firefox from home.

I also posted on the Europe forum. Check it out. One person has a workaround.

Yes, I've had it for a month. Restarting doesn't help me.

There is alot more response to this on the Europe forum. Is it not really a problem in the US or do people just not look at Fodors over a weekend? If you are having the problem, please respond so we can let Fodors know how important this is to us! Thanks.

I've been having this problem for quite a while and have reported it several times on the "announcements" forum. I have a small red splotch that allows me to post a new message, but I cannot search at all. IE 7 and Mozilla -- two different computers -- same problem. The techs are continuing to work on the problem but without success so far.

Been having this inability to search problem for at least two months, just when we switched to Comcast broadband. It's getting tiresome having to check through all the post titles. Makes me use the website less. Help!

"Is it not really a problem in the US or do people just not look at Fodors over a weekend?"

I'm convinced that a great many of the posts here are done by people sitting at work on their company computer. Many of them do not give up their personal time on weekends to post here. Weekend posts always drop way down from weekday posts.

Having the same problem up here in Canada! I haven't been able to figure out how to do a new post, or search key words since it has happened.
