The steak and shrimp dinner (it's not on the menu, and you have to ask for it) at the Hard Rock Hotel. I think the diner is called "Mr. Lucky's". It was something like $4.95 a couple of years ago. It's very good and comes with salad and baked potato!

Buffet at Gold Coast (about 4.50 breakfast, 6.50 lunch, 8.50 dinner). Gold Coast is off-strip near the RIO.
Gold Coast Coffee Shop has chinese food cheap, and a TBONE special for about $7.95 that includes a glass of beer.
Barbary Coast Coffee Shop on the strip has midnight breakfast specials & good food.
Pizza Parlor at Imperial Palace is good.
Fatburger and In & OUt Burger are good, especially if you don't have one in your neck of the woods.

Good, inexpensive meals can be had at many LV locations. My favorites?: San Remo -prime rib special; LV Hilton -steak special; Golden Gate (downtown)-egg&ham or egg&steak breakfast special; Binion's -late-night steak special; Flamingo -burger special (and 2-4-1 coupons are available in promo books); Caesar's -it's food court; Paris-crepe's (excellent anytime); and Barbary Coast -breakfast special. Expect to pay around $4-$9/pp.
