Hello!

I have been checking car rental prices in Tampa for a trip. The least expensive prices were at companies called "EZ Rent" and
"L&M Car and Truck Rental." Are these companies reputable? Any suggestions of other rental companies?

Never heard of these companies. You have to be careful when you rent from someone no one has heard of before because they could add mileage, fuel surcharges etc. to the cost. A better way is to use hotwire or priceline or go to the car rental sites and see if they have any internet specials. If you belong to a professional organization or AAA you can usually get a disount rate.

I saw the same companies when I checked into my car rental for Tampa. However, I usually just go to the Hertz website and find low rates through the specials on their home page. I got $29/day on a compact car, which is comparable to the no-name companies you will find online.

I booked mine through cheaptickets.com and got a great deal through Avis! I think we're getting a compact car for @$150 for a week.
Don't go with a no-name company b/c you'll end up with lots of hidden fees.
